Scope

Spacecraft and launch vehicle vibration standards address the severe vibration and acoustic environments encountered during launch — engine noise, acoustic reverberation in the fairing, structural-borne vibration from the launch vehicle. The standards define qualification and acceptance test levels for payloads, equipment and structural components.

Important note

This article explains the scope and engineering relevance of spacecraft vibration standards. It does not reproduce PSD levels, acoustic levels, durations, or acceptance criteria. Always refer to the current official edition (e.g. ECSS, NASA standards).
