High-Temperature Materials Standards & Guidance
Engineering context for standards governing high-temperature material data — creep test methods, data reporting and material qualification. Always refer to the current official source.
Scope
High-temperature material standards define the test methods for obtaining creep and stress-rupture data — specimen geometry, temperature control, load application, strain measurement and data reporting. The standards ensure that creep data from different laboratories is consistent and comparable. Material qualification standards may define minimum creep properties for specific alloys and applications.
