Purpose
For the final check before technical sign-off of an analysis or design.
Sign-Off
- Is the engineering question answered with sufficient evidence? — Not just a contour plot
- Is the verification evidence complete — reactions, hand calcs, convergence? — All documented
- Is validation evidence included where required? — Test correlation
- Are all margins positive at ultimate load? — With negative margins dispositioned
- Is the evidence chain traceable from question to conclusion? — No gaps
- Has the analysis been independently reviewed? — Reviewer name, date and comments
- Are limitations and residual risks documented? — What is NOT covered
- Is the conclusion stated unambiguously? — Meets requirements or does not
