A checklist for verifying the random response solution and results.
Checklist
- Output frequency range matches PSD input range
- Frequency resolution resolves narrowest resonance (5-10 points per half-power bandwidth)
- Response PSD peaks align with natural frequencies
- RMS verified by independent integration of response PSD
- RMS plausible relative to input Grms and structural amplification
- Response units correct (g, mm, MPa)
- Reaction forces plausible (F ≈ m × a for rigid-body)
- Results insensitive to additional modes (convergence)
